You’ve probably heard of dry brushing before if you are concerned about skin care. But have you ever thought about dry brushing your face? This technique will give you a chemical-free, low cost way to exfoliate your skin. Exfoliation is important when it comes to facial beauty treatments, as it gets rid of dead skin cells and lets new cells grow. It also helps prevent blackheads and gives you skin that is more radiant and soft. It’s important to be gentle to avoid damage to the skin. Read on to learn how to dry brush your face properly.
Cleanse Your Face
In order to prepare your face for dry brushing, wash it first with a facial cleanser.
Rinse and Dry
Be sure to thoroughly rinse your face and allow it to dry completely. Pat (do not rub) it dry.
Gently begin brushing your face using a facial brush. Start at your neck and work your way up to the forehead. On your chin, neck, and forehead, use upward motions with the brush. On your nose and cheeks, use circular motions.
Apply your favorite facial moisturizer to your face and neck.
Don’t dry brush your face if you feel any discomfort or if you have any cuts, infections, open wounds, or rashes. Be sure to avoid the area that surrounds your eyes. Start out by dry brushing your face for no longer than a half of a minute. Gradually, you can increase the time you dry brush up to three minutes by increments of a half a minute. Make sure to only use a brush that is made for facial skin, as body brushes are too rough for facial use. You can dry brush your face each day.
