Juvederm XC Works Well With Botox

Juvederm XC is an amazing product that has the ability to pick up where Botox leaves off. In other words, they work well together.  Botox is best for crow’s feet and forehead frown lines, while Juvederm XC is typically used around the nose and mouth, particularly on the area of the sides of the mouth called “parentheses” lines.

The face naturally starts to lose its volume as one ages. So, the skin begins to sag and eventually what’s left are noticeable wrinkles and folds. This also happens when one loses weight. Juvederm XC, which is a gel made of hyaluronic acid (HA), is used to diminish these wrinkles. The doctor will inject the gel into the areas that have lost volume, filling in empty spaces to reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles and folds on the face. Juvederm XC is considered a filler because of the way it works and fills in wrinkles and folds.

Just as with Botox, receiving Juvederm XC injections only requires a quick, in-office procedure with little to no recovery time necessary. You may even decide to have this performed as a “lunchtime” procedure due to how quickly it can be administered. The results are instant — you’ll see a difference as soon as your appointment is over. And one Juvederm XC treatment lasts up to a year, so there is little to no maintenance necessary. In fact, Juvederm XC is the only FDA-approved HA filler that lasts for so long.

You may experience some side effects after receiving treatment, but most cases, these side effects are mild to moderate and last a week or even less. The most common reported side effects are pain or tenderness at the site of injection, redness, and some swelling. Just know that our priority is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Please, schedule a consultation today and we will discuss all of the amazing things Juvederm XC can do for your appearance.
